SLI will finance 20 e-Smart Avia aircraft
e-Smart Avia was present at the Farnborough International Airshow in July 2026, where it announced a financing partnership with aerospace asset finance specialist SLI.
Under the agreement, SLI will provide asset financing for up to 20 all-electric aircraft that e-Smart Avia has on order from BETA Technologies. The fleet will comprise a combination of BETA’s ALIA CX300 conventional take-off and landing aircraft and ALIA A250 vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
The arrangement converts e-Smart Avia’s aircraft commitment into an operating lease, with SLI owning the aircraft and e-Smart making fixed monthly payments.
The partnership represents an important step towards introducing zero-emission aircraft into commercial air logistics at scale.
